Please come to hear three fun bands -- two up-and-comers and one over-the-hill. The price is right -- No cover and BYOB (and bring home your empties). We will pass the hat to raise money for Harkness Outreach Center and Curt’s Café.
At 7:00, the evening kicks off with NTHS’ own Winter Beach. They will perform a number of their original compositions as well as a surprise cover. Winter Beach is a garage surf-rock band formed a little under a year ago by Luke Anaclerio (guitar and vocals), Billy Crimmins (drums), and Keaton Schiller (vocals). They will be performing songs off their upcoming EP coming out on Spotify before they head off to college.
At 7:20, Winnetka musician, 25 year old Maggie Young (performing as Hodje), will solo (with some surprise back-up musicians for her last song). She recently released “Angela” on Spotify. Raised in the UK, she developed an appreciation for British artists such as Amy Winehouse, Florence Welch, and Adele. The name Hodje honors her late grandmother who toured America in one of the first theatre companies. With a love for storytelling, Hodje creates songs centered on honest narratives, incorporating universal highs and lows of young adulthood: love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.
The dancing starts at 7:45 with The Jacks. We will play some of our favorites, and hopefully yours. The Jacks are -- Bob Ebersole (keyboards), Mike Fine (lead guitar), Jim Law (vocals), Stuart McCrary (bass guitar), John McGrath (guitar and vocals), Brad McLane (drums) and Scott Rodgers (guitar and vocals).
Please plan to join in the festivities!
